About me

 Born in Odessa, Ukraine.

My art is the result of the influence of pop culture on me since early childhood, video games, comics and virtual art were with me side by side. My father instilled a love for games and their development by giving me tasks to develop characters when I was little. Creating characters for me is an interesting search for plastic solutions, creating something "new" from a combination of what already exists, I like the idea that most likely we will not create anything new in art, the only thing that is not yet in art is ourselves, so it is valuable when it directly resonates with you yourself.

Dark motives prevail in my works because for me dark art has never been something bad, I like to see beauty in creepy or ugly things for many, too positive and cloying works cause me rejection, although I understand that for many this is a way to escape from the gray reality, but for me art in which the artist finds beauty in grayness finds a much greater response and depth. But sometimes, to relax, I can create cute or silly sketches because we cannot be black or white, we always balance.
I like the art of new materiality, modernism, metamodernism, expressionism, as well as symbolism, contemporary realism and conceptual art.

Why do I prefer characters art rather than environments (for example)? Firstly, the human face and body are capable of conveying a wide range of emotions, states and characters, but not only humans, I am also interested in animalism, because all the same can be conveyed through images of animals/creatures. Secondly, like many people, I am interested in other people and their nature. Artists, like viewers, strive to understand themselves through others, and the image of people becomes a way of exploring the soul, psychology, culture. There are many artists who can breathe life into a landscape and a place where there is not a single soul - will live. But I cannot classify myself as such, because I am simply more inspired by living beings.

Very often I leave the work at the sketch stage and do not want to bring it to the end, because sometimes a sketch can say more and give free rein to our imagination more than the finished product, perhaps that is why it is the sphere of concept art, when the idea is initially important and sketches grab me more than the polished final result and you can feel like not just a craftsman, but a creator.

For me, fine art is an eternal search for myself and my ideals, the expression of my tastes through visual language and the desire to share my vision with others, to find like-minded people, not necessarily in our time, they can be in the past and in the future, and our tastes in turn are a mosaic of other artists, our inner world, lived experience and the world around us.

I work in such programs as Procreate Photoshop and I am starting to learn sculpting in ZBrush. Would like to work in the field of game/movie development to create memorable characters. I also have skills of traditional oil/acrylic painting, drawing and photobash.
